Dr Anwar Shahzad has a comprehensive background in Cardiology and is a key member of our medical centre Penrith. Completed his MBBS in 1997 as second best graduate with Gold medal and maintained a distinctive academic career as a medical student overall. Gained his MRCP UK diploma in 2007. Finally obtained fellowship with Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) after finishing Cardiology training at Flinders Medical Centre Adelaide.

He sees variety of cardiological and general medicine cases and has a particular interest in coronary artery disease, cardiac failure, arrhythmias and valvular heart diseases. He regularly performs cardiac catheterisation and also has a keen interest in echocardiography and other cardiac investigations like holter monitoring, stress test and ECGs.

While his interests lie predominantly in cardiology he is happy to consult on general medical conditions.
