Our Penrith Medical Centre endeavours to live by the values of when we first opened in 1990. That is we believe that everyone should have access to the highest quality of healthcare that is affordable and accessible. Doctors practicing here at Medical and Fitness have been servicing the Penrith, Kingswood and Lower Blue Mountains communities since 1990. Doctors practicing here provide Bulk Billing Services and most Doctors take Walk In patients every day during their regular practising hours.
Your Own Local Super Clinic
Medical and Fitness Centre was founded in 1990 in order to provide the Penrith and Nepean community with access to BULK BILLING medical services. Our clinic has been providing you with access to quality healthcare over the generations across the Penrith and Lower Blue Mountains communities and surrounding suburbs.
Since 1990, the facility has expanded greatly and our range of services has grown as well. Our clinic is structured around attracting a core of dedicated and caring general practitioners. You will have access to male and female doctors all week round at your service when you need it most.
At our centre you will not only have access to amazing doctors but the practice premises are shared with a Pharmacy, Dentist, Radiology (X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound), Optometrist next door. When you enter the medical centre you will have access to seven days pathology collection (blood collection), consultant Specialists such as Psychiatrists and Cardiologist and a number of other Allied Health professionals at the same location; such as Psychologists, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Podiatrist, Dietitian, Hypnotherapist and Naturopath.
Medical and Fitness Centre has been an AGPAL accredited general practice since 1990. This accreditation certifies that we meet all of the current standards which are set by the RACGP and that we are committed to reviewing systems, processes and ongoing quality improvement.
After Hours Arrangements
If for some reason you are unable to consult with your regular general practitioner during normal business hours, we have an arrangement with Home Doctor Services for all of our after-hours care. You can contact them on 13 74 25. Just let them know who your regular GP is and they will send your GP a fax to update them with the After Hours Doctors consultation notes. No matter what time of day or night, you will never be left out in the cold.
Patient Records Privacy
Your medical records are important and private, and we maintain a strict policy as do the doctors to keep them that way.
When you register as a patient, you provide consent for your GPs’ and authorised practice staff to access and use your personal information so they can provide you with the best possible healthcare. Only authorised providers and support staff will see your personal information and will have access to it. We always maintain the confidentiality of your records at all times and keep them secure.
If we need to use your information for anything else, we will seek additional consent from you to do this.
